Educational and Leadership Summit

Equipping Today’s Leaders for Tomorrow’s Harvest

Lweza, Uganda | 25-29 April, 2016

Over 300 Assemblies of God leaders from 17 countries attended the regional educational and leadership summit convened in Lweza, Uganda.

The summit was a collaborative effort of two organizations, East Africa Assemblies of God Alliance (EAAGA) and Africa Theological Training Service (ATTS).

The summit revolved around two basic goals:

1. Identify and increase one’s personal leadership capacity skills.

2. Equip academic leaders with (1) Administrative skills needed to develop a training institution’s infra-structure,

(2) Training resources now available through Africa’s Hope,

(3) Develop personal traits which enable professional administrative skills to function at peak performance.

The summit’s theme, “Equipping Today’s Leaders for Tomorrow’s Harvest” became a reality for every leader attending. They returned to their educational institutions with enhanced vision, goals and models for training Pentecostal leaders.

EAAGA Chairman Barnabas Mtokambali skillfully directed the summit, lending his support to every presentation.

Dr. John Easter official announced the appointment of Rev. Jonas Mkoba as the East Africa Regional ATTS Coordinator. Easter expressed his pleasure at working with Mkoba to advance training throughout East Africa and the Indian Ocean Basin.

Easter summarized the summit: “It was an honor for Africa’s Hope | ATTS to partner with EAAGA in this historical training summit. We anticipate a bright future for training efforts to equip hundreds of new harvest workers in East Africa!
