A Biblical Theology of Worship

MN225

Calvin Pincombe

A Biblical Theology of Worship presents students with a biblical understanding of the worship of God. The course shows the essential nature of worship as an interpersonal relationship with the sovereign God of the Bible. It examines the Old Testament under the headings of sacred space, sacred actions, sacred speech, and sacred time, and it also makes applications to New Testament practice. In addition, it delineates the New Testament emphasis on Christ, the church as the new temple, and the priesthood of believers. It then applies the resulting biblical theology of worship to contemporary Pentecostal practices and the extension of the kingdom of God.
