Minor Prophets: Their Message and Times

OT220

Jason McClaflin

The Minor Prophets: Their Messages and Times looks at the last twelve books of the Old Testament known as the “Minor Prophets.” The author gives special attention to the nature of prophecy in both the Ancient Near East and the Old Testament. He also explores the major themes of the prophets and identifies them throughout the course as they occur. For ease of study, the author has divided the prophets into three major time periods that correspond to the major political powers of the time. Each book is analyzed according to its main divisions and concludes with a personal reflection and sample sermon notes and outlines.
