The purpose of this course is to explore the biblical basis for transformational development in the context of the local church, examine best practice principles of transformational development, present practical instruction on the development process, and identify key characteristics of transformational development workers. The primary emphasis of this course is to equip the students with knowledge on how to involve the church in holistic ministry combined with a relevant presentation of the gospel. The students will be able to apply the transformational development process to formulate a response to HIV/AIDS, a critical issue faced by African communities.
