The Southern Africa Strategic Training Seminar, which was held from October 30 to November 3 in Johannesburg, South Africa, brought Bible college leaders together from across Southern Africa for a wonderful time of fellowship and training. We were blessed to have delegates from Botswana, eSwatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe!
A special thank you to our host, Dr. Gordon Lebelo, general president of the International Assemblies of God in South Africa, and to Randel Tarr, executive director of Africa’s Hope and Africa Theological Training Service (ATTS).
In addition to plenary sessions with powerful teaching, special break-out sessions were held each day for administrators, registrars, and librarians, to equip them to better serve their respective Bible colleges. One of the highlights of the seminar was the introduction of OASIS, a powerful student record-keeping system, and Library Box, a comprehensive library management software solution. Another highlight was the demonstration of ExamPro, a brand new program that has been developed to quickly create professional-looking exams for Discovery Series curriculum.
We were honored to have Dr. Doug Lowenberg and his team from APTEA join us for the event. They gave powerful presentations that challenged and inspired us all.
Please join us in praying for these leaders and the Bible colleges they represent. Pray that God will use them to raise up the next generation of Spirit-empowered, biblically trained leaders for the Church in Southern Africa and beyond!
